Patryk Krukowski is a PhD candidate at IDEAS NCBR and at the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. His research focuses on methods to address the problem of catastrophic forgetting in continual learning. His interests include theoretical mathematics, continual learning, and graph neural networks.
He studied Mathematics and Statistics at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and later Computer Science – Data Science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, where he earned a Master of Engineering degree. His master’s thesis explored the use of PINNs (Physics-Informed Neural Networks) for solving partial differential equations.
Outside of research, he enjoys reading (mostly works by Stephen King and Stanisław Lem), cycling, and discovering new restaurants in Kraków.
