Michał is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Natural and Exact Sciences at the University of Warsaw. He is currently finishing his thesis and working on his NCN Preludium grant.

His research focuses on designing algorithms (strategies) that handle a sequence of events (queries) in real time. The main challenge in this type of work is the lack of knowledge about the future.

Michał’s task is to find a way to make decisions so that—despite this uncertainty—the outcome of his algorithm is still close to what could be achieved by someone who knows the entire future.

In his free time, Michał loves traveling, cycling, and playing board games.
