How Machine Learning can improve renewable energy sources management? We invite you to a special lecture by Dr. Paweł Wawrzyński, PhD DSc, leader of the Research Team of Learning and Control in Graphs and Networks at IDEAS NCBR. Join us on Thursday, June 29, at 6 pm CET!
The event will be held both in person and online as part of the ML in PL 2023 Conference premeeting and the presentation of the newly formed research team. Admission is free.
The starting point for the presented research is the challenges of controlling the energy system in the context of the increasing importance of renewable energy sources, whose efficiency depends on weather conditions and cannot be adjusted to energy consumption in the system. Artificial intelligence, particularly reinforcement learning and graph neural networks, can provide answers to these challenges.
The speaker will present theoretical concepts in the areas of reinforcement learning and graph neural networks, which require development to effectively address practical problems in energy systems. These practical problems include automatic energy trading, automatic network design, and device control.
Paweł Wawrzyński is a PhD, leader of the Research Team of Learning and Control in Graphs and Networks at IDEAS NCBR. He is currently recruiting for research positions in his team.
We invite everyone interested to participate in the event in person at the IDEAS NCBR headquarters (Chmielna 69, Warsaw) and online.
