Cooperation with National Taiwan University and CVC Barcelona

IDEAS NCBR has signed the understanding on cooperation with Center For Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Robotics at National Taiwan University, and research centre CVC Barcelona working on computer vision.

IDEAS NCBR is a signatory of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) that allows for cooperation with prestigious foreign universities and research centres. National Taiwan University, which according to QS World University Rankings by Subject is ranked on 61. place in the scope of IT, is among the institutions with which the understanding has been concluded. The examples of possible scopes of cooperation are: foreign exchanges for doctoral students and researchers, study visits, co-creation of research projects and grant applications, co-organization of seminars and scientific symposia.

Another, this time international, understanding of IDEAS NCBR with partners from Taiwan and Spain means new opportunities for Polish innovators for an extremely valuable exchange of knowledge and experience across borders. It allows IDEAS NCBR to consistently achieve its goal and reinforce its position as one of the leading research and development centres in the field of AI in Poland. By focusing on combining business and science, it fits well with NCBR goals.” – says dr Remigiusz Kopoczek, Director of the National Centre for Research and Development.

For us, building international presence of IDEAC NCBR is essential. We are quite young organization, so we appreciate each success on this field. Creating the network of partner centres opens up all sorts of new possibilities for us – beginning with education of scientists, that now will be able to participate in international projects, following with academic exchanges to possibility of creating consortia, which will allow us to apply for big EU research grants.

Planned cooperation period with aforementioned centres is 5 years. This period allows for implementation of ambitious research projects and transfer of knowledge between employees of the centres. IDEAS NCBR plans to establish contact with other leading research centres in Europe and worldwide, concentrating on the AI in wide sense and digital economy solutions.
