Łukasz was a Senior Research Scientist at IDEAS NCBR, a committee member of the Polish AI Olympiad and a member of Ellis Society. He carried out researches in the field of Large Language Models, Reinforce Learning and Continual Learning. His contribution to the development of Machine Learning in Poland was invaluable.
Łukasz was not only a recognised scientist among researchers working in the field of machine learning, but also actively supported young scientists in their research work. Even when his disease was affecting his strength, he tried to devote time to his younger colleagues. Science and its future, which he saw in his young fellows, were important to him.
Łukasz was not only a scientist and employee of IDEAS NCBR, but also our colleague. A colleague with whom you could talk in the corridor, have a coffee in the kitchen, or chat about the weather. He did not like rushing, he appreciated time, time that passed too quickly for him.
We will always remember him as a scientist, a colleague, one of us.
