Seminar with Wojciech Pa\u0142ubicki"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will focus on groundbreaking methods in modeling plant ecosystems and their relation to climate change. It will showcase multi-scale ecosystem modeling techniques that enable the realistic representation of individual plants and their interactions. The presentation will cover various aspects of plant tropism and competition for resources. Additionally, the seminar will introduce models of ecoclimates, simulating local climate changes in response to environmental gradients like water, temperature, and light. These models allow for understanding and depicting diverse ecoclimatic phenomena, making a significant contribution to generating realistic plant landscapes and comprehending their role in shaping local climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Bio:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a graduate in Computer Science from Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144 (Master&#8217;s degree, 2007), and I worked at a computer graphics company, vizrt, from 2007-2008. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary in 2012 and was a post-doctoral research associate at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, until 2015. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at Adam Mickiewicz University since 2015 and the Managing Director of GreenMatterAI since 2021.
