Both have been awarded PRELUDIUM 22 grants from Polish NCN (Narodowe Centrum Nauki). The grants allow pre-doctoral researchers to gain experience in conducting projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adam\u2019s project \u201cWhere to look next \u2013 guiding active visual exploration with internal model uncertainty\u201d will focus on \u201ccreating a new branch in active visual exploration research\u201d that can aid development of robotics, autonomous vehicles, and image analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the project \u201cComputationally efficient dynamic neural networks\u201d, Bartosz will strive to reduce the amount of computation needed in models such as Mixture of Experts, aiming for “more accessible research environment, prolonged battery lives and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adam and Bartosz are members of IDEAS NCBR research group \u201cZero-waste machine learning in computer vision\u201d and have 12 months to implement their projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
