Robert Śmiech is a PhD student at the Institute of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw. Robert’s research interests include complex algebraic geometry, in particular Fano varieties and sections of fundamental line bundles, contact manifolds and their generalisations, applications of algebraic geometry in other areas, like study of PDEs. He was the head of the Peculiar Contact Varieties project (National Science Center PRELUDIUM competition).
