Piotr Miłoś – a mathematician and computer scientist, associate professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences, and a member of the Ellis Society.
He is the leader of a research team at IDEAS NCBR and a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He gained experience conducting research at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw, as well as at the University of Bath and in Geneva. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw.
His scientific interests encompass the development of intelligent algorithms that will support decision-making in scenarios involving multiple steps. This is an interdisciplinary area that combines many fields of machine learning, such as planning and learning, multitask and continual learning, sequential modeling using transformers, and reinforcement learning.
