Piotr Kicki is a research engineer in the robotics team at IDEAS NCBR and a research assistant at the Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence at Poznan University of Technology. He received his B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in automatic control and robotics from Poznan University of Technology, Poland in 2018 and 2019, respectively. In 2023 he finished his Ph.D. studies and submitted a thesis entitled ‘Deep reinforcement learning for motion planning in man-made environments’. During his Ph.D. studies, he was engaged in the H2020 REMODEL project and completed an internship in the Jan Peters group at TU Darmstadt. His main research interests include robot motion planning and applications of machine learning in robotics.
