Elvis Tangwa is a postdoc at IDEAS NCBR. His current research focuses on forest growth dynamics and involves tree growth modelling and change detection at various spatial scales. This requires testing or fine tuninng new and existing methods to improve the accuracy of information retreived from LidAR data. His research integrates structural metrics from Airborne LiDAR with indices of changing climates and environmental conditions to understand short and long changes in forest ecosystems. Elvis’ previous research involved modelling the impact of land use and different climate scenarios on species biodiversity and ecosystem function.
