MANAGEMENT

Piotr Sankowski is an associate professor at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Warsaw, where he received his habilitation in 2009 and a doctorate in computer science in 2005. His research interests focus on the problems of the practical use of algorithms, ranging from economic applications, through learning data structures, to parallel algorithms for data science. In 2009, Piotr Sankowski also received a doctorate in physics in the field of solid state theory at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In 2010 he was awarded the ERC Starting Independent Researcher Grant, in 2015 the ERC Proof of Concept Grant, and in 2017 the ERC Consolidator Grant. He is a co-founder of the MIM Solutions spin-off.

Wojciech Kruszyński is a graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology and the National School of Public Administration.
He has served on supervisory boards and management boards of capital companies, among others Winiary S.A., Rafineria Trzebinia S.A., Tetra System Polska S.A. For many years, he was associated with the telecommunications sector including, among others, Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. He was the president of the board of Arcus S.A., Telprojekt Sp. z o.o. and Hyperion S.A.

Dr Żebrowska is an expert in international academic cooperation and a physicist. She obtained her PhD from the University of Rennes 1 (France) and the University of Gdańsk (Poland). Until recently, she served as the Director General of NAWA – Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Previously, she had also worked as the Director of the International Relations Department at the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and an Advisor for Science, Technology and Higher Education at the Embassy of Poland in Washington, DC.

SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL

The Scientific Council was established by a resolution of the Shareholders’ Meeting of Ideas NCBR Sp. z o.o. of 1 July 2021.

The responsibilities of the Scientific Council include:

  • expressing opinions on research policy and planned activities as well as presenting proposals for changes, e.g. due to the progress in scientific research in the world,
  • reviewing the employment of research group leaders,
  • giving opinions on the degree of implementation and results of research groups’ activities,
  • expressing opinions on all issues related to the activities of IDEAS NCBR.
